Johnson Anthony: Togetherness [Vinyl LP]

Edwards Winston: Natty locks dub [Vinyl LP]

180 gram vinyl.

First released in a long-out-of-print limited-edition 7" box set, this album, now released on LP, brings together 10 amazing, unreleased Studio One tracks, only ever released as extremely limited-edition hand-etched one-sided dubplates (most of these sold out in less than 2 hours!). // Studio One Dub Plate Special brings together all 8 of these exclusive dubplate unreleased cuts, plus two more also never before released alternate cuts. Featuring Alton Ellis, Cedric Brooks, Brentford Road All Stars, Jacob Miller and more! // From Alton Ellis' righteous uplifting 'Black People' to Brentford All Stars' hypnotic cover of War's classic 'The World Is A Ghetto', groovy instrumental cuts from Cedric Brooks and The Soul Brothers, deep cuts from Alton & Zoot, George Phillip and Jacob Miller's wicked alternate cut of Dennis Brown's classic 'Westbound Train', all make Studio One Dub Plate Special a truly unique Studio One release.

Ishaaq draws from its geographical roots in Sweden and India to make something truly quirky and swinging. Completely carefree, Ishaaq mixes psychedelic electro with trippy dub with naive nursery rhyme-like melodies. A borderless hybrid where Sweden meets Goa, meets Jamaica meets the Balearic Islands, meets the present, the future, and the past. So put Ishaaq's Andra in the crate for psychedelic raga-dub-folk-pop-prog... you know that genre. Andra is also the world's first plant-based vinyl album, made from compostable bioplastic. And the covers are screen printed on the inside of old album covers. This is thus the most environmentally friendly album that can be bought today - worldwide. Andra is produced by producer icon Jari Haapalainen, and recorded in The End studio in Lund, together with Swedish and Indian musicians such as Daniel Bingert and Suranjana Gosh. The album was mixed in Berlin and in Athens.
