One of the most incendiary and subversive new voices in music joins the Warp roster, as GAIKA unveils his first release for the label, Spaghetto. The EP comes together as a weaponized synthesis of GAIKA's unflinching lyrics, concussive industrial percussion, apocalyptic dancehall swagger and quiet moments of R&B it is an affront to the oppressive forces at work in the world. After taking Britain and Europe by storm with his Mixpak EP Security, GAIKA is poised to be a booming new figure in the ever evolving North American underground electronic and R&B community, bringing sounds from his homelands of Jamaica and England with him, along with influences, both musical and cultural, from the Diaspora at large. Look out for North American dates of his not to be missed live show coming in 2017.

GAIKA presents his debut album, Basic Volume, after captivating listeners with a blistering pair of acclaimed, self-released mixtapes Machine and Security and Warp-released EPs SPAGHETTO and The Spectacular Empire. Now GAIKAs darkly magnetic blend of gothic dancehall and industrial electronics has expanded into his most far-reaching work yet. Basic Volume is a sprawling yet cohesive album that devours genres and spits them out, tangled around personal tales of love, loss and rebellion. GAIKA has already bum-rushed the covers of the WIRE magazine and CRACK (alongside compatriot Dean Blunt), as well as being appointed DAZED political editor at large. Expectations are high for the debut from this singular voice.
