During this time he refuses to acknowledge the existence of his two illegitimate daughters Evelina (Sandy Foster) and Georgiana (Amy Dawson) and develops his painting style, which is often both praised and criticised. As she attempts to come to terms with the root of her issues, Pansy must continue her battle to get out of bed every morning. As the Napoleonic Wars reached an end, political unrest struck the nation as ongoing stretches of famine, unemployment and the introduction of the Corn Laws began to stir the working classes. A demonstration took place on 16th August led by Henry Hunt (Rory Kinnear) with the intention to challenge the government and propose parliamentary reform. Their hopes were soon diminished, however, when a cavalry charged in to the massive crowd, causing the situation to turn deadly.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

Hennes gladlynta sinne är oemotståndligt, hon tillåter inte någon att dämpa hennes humör. När hon en dag målmedvetet bestämmer sig för att lära sig att köra bil, ställs hennes soliga temperament mot raka motsatsen, den inåtriktade och bittre körskoleläraren Scott. <br/><br/>Mike Leighs senaste film och är en komedi om att ha roligt, om att söka kärlek och om att gå framåt i livet. Leigh har tidigare regisserat hyllade filmer som "Naken", "Hemligheter och lögner", "Flickor i karriären" och senast "Vera Drake". Huvudrollen som Poppy spelas av Sally Hawkins ("All or Nothing", "Vera Drake", "Kärlekens slöja"), som för denna roll belönades med priset för bästa skådespelerska vid årets filmfestival i Berlin. Körskoleläraren Scott spelas av Eddie Marsan ("Vera Drake", "21 gram", "Gangs of New York") och i rollen som Poppys rumskamrat Zoe ser vi den långfilmsdebuterande skådespelerskan Alexis Zegerman.
