Stanley Kubricks sista film tar oss på en utmanande och gripande resa till psykologins och sexualitetens värld. En ödesdiger vinternatt i New York ger sig Dr William Harford (Tom Cruise) ut på en erotisk utflykt som kan komma att hota hans äktenskap.
