She is campaigning against Jerry Generazzo (Hamm), the mayor of Beaverton, who plans to build a road through a local forest glade which was home to a colony of beavers until Jerry drove them out. When she discovers that her biology professor Dr. Samantha Fairfax (Najimy) has invented a device that enables the user to send their consciousness into a robotic animal, she hops into a robotic beaver, befriends the local wildlife and becomes embroiled in their fight for survival.
