When Praetorius discovers the monster, alive and now able to communicate, he uses it to kidnap Frankenstein's wife, thus blackmailing him into creating a mate. In 'Get Out' (2017), with their relationship becoming serious, Rose (Allison Williams) invites her African-American boyfriend Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) to meet her parents Missy and Dean (Catherine Keener and Bradley Whitford) as part of a weekend getaway at her family home. Initially, Chris thinks that the family's overly friendly behaviour is due to their nervousness about their daughter's interracial relationship, but when he then finds out that a number of black people have recently gone missing in the neighbourhood, he begins to realise there is something much more sinister going on. In 'Us' (2019), while visiting friends the Wilsons decide to stay at a remote beach house, but while settling in to their surroundings, they discover what appears to be another family standing mysteriously in their driveway. Things turn strange when the family makes a run towards the house, causing the Wilsons to shut themselves inside and defend themselves from the attackers. When they get a closer look at the crazed killers they realise they look identical to their own family, however act completely different. When the Wilsons realise the family will stop at nothing to kill them, they must find a way to identify who they are and bring them down before it's too late. Finally, in 'Nope' (2022), after the residents of an isolated California town witness a strange and frightening event resulting in the death of one of their elders, siblings OJ and Emerald Haywood (Kaluuya and Keke Palmer) attempt to catch a repeat of the event on film. After realising that he is not able to return to the future, he seeks the assistance of a younger Doc but inadvertently disrupts the early stages of his parents' relationship, which places his entire existence in jeopardy. In 'Back to the Future Part II' (1989) Marty and Doc Brown must travel 30 years into the future to prevent Marty's son from going to jail. Meanwhile, when Biff Tannen steals the DeLorean so that he can return to the 1950s and make his younger self rich, he creates an alternate timeline in which Marty's father has been murdered... Finally, in 'Back to the Future Part III' (1990), Marty travels back in time to 1885 to rescue Doc Brown from a fatal showdown with Biff Tannen's great-grandfather. In 'Coogan's Bluff' (1968) deputy sheriff Walt Coogan (Eastwood) is sent from Arizona to New York City to escort escaped prisoner James Ringerman (Don Stroud) home. When Coogan cuts corners to expedite the process, Ringerman is able to escape and Coogan's attempts to recapture him lead him to clash with NYPD Detective McElroy (Lee J. Cobb). In 'Two Mules for Sister Sara' (1969) Hogan (Eastwood) saves Sara (Shirley MacLaine) from marauding bandits and when she asks for his continued help and protection, he reluctantly agrees. As they travel together, he discovers that she is far from the nun he believed her to be and together they team up to aid a group of Mexican revolutionaries in their fight against French occupying forces. 'The Beguiled' (1970) is set during the American Civil War. When wounded Union soldier John McBurney (Eastwood) is taken in by the all-female staff of a Louisiana girls' school, they are going to turn him over to the Confederate army but decide to heal him first. However, McBurney cunningly plays the women off against each other, working on their sexual frustrations and biding his time until he is well enough to attempt an escape. In 'Play Misty for Me' (1971) Dave Garland (Eastwood) is a Californian DJ who runs a late night call-in show and receives regular requests from a female caller for Erroll Garner's song 'Misty'. Unfortunately for Garland, the fan, Evelyn Draper (Jessica Walter), turns out to be a maniacal stalker. In the revisionist Western 'Joe Kidd' (1972) Eastwood stars as the eponymous former bounty hunter who is hired by wealthy landowner Frank Harlan (Robert Duvall) to track Mexican revolutionary Luis Chama (John Saxon). However, Harlan soon proves that he is not to be trusted. In 'High Plains Drifter' (1973) the arrival of a stranger (Eastwood) in the mining town of Lago causes resentment and fear among the locals. However, when they are threatened by a band of outlaws, they beg him to protect them, but he has plans of his own. 'Breezy' (1973) follows the complicated relationship between the young and free-spirited Breezy (Kay Lenz) and middle-aged divorcé Frank Harmon (William Holden). Breezy brings joy back into Frank's life but he is reluctant to become involved with her given their age difference. Finally, in 'The Eiger Sanction' (1975), college professor Jonathan Hemlock (Eastwood) is forced to return to his previous life as a government assassin for one last mission.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD / Box Set</i>

Things become notably less light-hearted when Jeff becomes obsessed with the notion that Lars Thorwald (Raymond Burr), who lives in the apartment opposite, has murdered his wife. Since he is unable to investigate himself, he seeks the assistance of his socialite girlfriend, Lisa (Grace Kelly), and the pair plunge into a dangerous amateur investigation. In 'The Birds' (1963) spoiled socialite Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren) falls in love with lawyer Mitch Brenner (Rod Taylor) after they meet in a bird shop. Melanie pursues him across the water to his Bodega Bay home to offer him the gift of a lovebird. Inexplicably, she is attacked by a gull on her way back, the first of a series of attacks by birds that mass in their thousands overhead. Melanie, Mitch and the other inhabitants of Bodega find themselves facing a desperate struggle for survival in a classic tale of terror from the air. 'Vertigo' (1958) follows troubled San Francisco cop Scottie (James Stewart). When his fear of heights indirectly causes the death of a colleague, Scottie makes the decision to retire from the police force. Unfortunately, his next employment provides little relief from the phobic tendencies that haunt him. Hired by magnate Gavin Elster (Tom Helmore) to follow his wife, Madeleine (Kim Novak), who Elster believes to be a danger to herself, Scottie becomes bewitched by her to the point of obsession. After he saves her from a suicide attempt, Scottie and Madeleine become romantically entangled, but will the pair be able to steer clear of the destructive impulses that have bound them together? In 'Psycho' (1960) Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) goes on the run after stealing $40,000 from one of her employer's clients. A wrong turn in a storm leads Marion to an isolated motel run by the twitchy Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins), who is constantly at the beck and call of his unseen mother. Marion's disappearance leads her sister, Lila (Vera Miles), and her boyfriend, Sam (John Gavin) to conduct some amateur investigations at the motel. In 'Johnny English Reborn' (2011), eight years after the events of the first film, Sir Johnny English's career has gone into free fall. For the past five years he has been hiding out in a cave in Tibet, lying low and learning martial arts at a nearby monastery following the dismal failure of a mission in Mozambique. Sir Johnny is given his last chance to prove himself when he is called back to London by MI7 for one final mission: to take out a band of international assassins intent on murdering the President of China. Finally, in 'Johnny English Strikes Again' (2018), when a sophisticated cyberattack reveals the identities of all of Britain's active undercover agents, the government is left with no choice but to turn to English for help. Coming out of retirement, English once again teams up with Angus Bough and sets out on a dangerous mission to track down the hacker.
