In 'Shrek' (2001) reclusive ogre Shrek (voice of Mike Myers) lives in a swamp on the edge of a fairytale kingdom. When Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow) exiles all magical creatures from his land, they come to Shrek's swamp and disturb his peace. Shrek makes a deal with Farquaad and promises to save Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) who is trapped in a castle guarded by a dragon. Marriage to Fiona will make Farquaad a king and in return, he will evict everyone now living in Shrek's swamp. Accompanied by Donkey (Eddie Murphy), Shrek sets out to free Fiona but soon finds himself falling in love with her. In 'Shrek 2' (2004) Shrek and Fiona return from their honeymoon to find an invitation from Fiona's parents King Harold (John Cleese) and Queen Lilian (Julie Andrews) to visit the kingdom of Far Far Away. However, the King and Queen are less than pleased to see their daughter married to an ogre. When reminded by the Fairy Godmother (Jennifer Saunders) of an ancient deal to match Fiona with her son Prince Charming (Rupert Everett), Shrek's new father-in-law hires the notorious swashbuckling mercenary Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) to kill Shrek. In 'Shrek the Third' (2007) King Harold falls ill and Shrek, Donkey and Puss in Boots set out on a quest to find his heir, Artie Pendragon (Justin Timberlake). However, Prince Charming is determined to take the throne himself and joins forces with a gang of fairytale villains to achieve his goal. In 'Shrek Forever After' (2010) Shrek is now a father and finds himself missing his previous quiet and solitary life. Rumpelstiltskin (Walt Dohrn) takes advantage of Shrek's mood to make a deal and after finding himself in a world where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king, none of his friends know him and he never met Fiona, Shrek must undertake a desperate mission to save his friends, restore his world and reclaim his one true love. 'Puss in Boots' (2011) details the adventures of Puss in Boots before he met Shrek and Donkey. A notorious outlaw in his hometown of San Ricardo, Puss will be put behind bars indefinitely unless he can find the magic beans which are fiercely guarded by husband-and-wife bandits Jack and Jill (Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris). Unbeknownst to Puss, however, he has another rival in the form of criminal mastermind Humpty Alexander Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis) and his tough-talking sidekick, Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek). Finally, the Broadway adaptation 'Shrek the Musical' (2013) finds Shrek (Brian d'Arcy James), Princess Fiona (Sutton Foster) and their talkative sidekick Donkey (Daniel Breaker) pitted against the dastardly Lord Farquaad (Christopher Sieber). When seismology student Rhonda LeBeck (Finn Carter) discovers that the tremors are being caused by giant underground monsters, the trio soon find themselves caught in a fierce battle for survival. In 'Tremors 2: Aftershocks' (1995), when workers at a Mexican oil refinery find an infestation of Graboids, they turn to Earl Bassett for help. He recruits his old friend Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) and they begin to hunt the creatures together, aided by Grady Hoover (Christopher Gartin) and scientist Kate Reilly (Helen Shaver). Unfortunately for them however, the creatures have evolved and are now able to replicate exceptionally quickly, making stopping them an almost impossible task. In 'Tremors 3: Back to Perfection' (2001) Burt returns to his hometown of Perfection and discovers that there are three Graboids in the area. As he attempts to lead the fight to destroy them, government agents seek to prevent him from hunting them. Meanwhile, things go from bad to worse when a new species of Graboid makes its presence felt. 'Tremors 4: The Legend Begins' (2004) is the prequel to 'Tremors' (1990). In 1889, workers in the remote mining town of Rejection, Nevada fall victim to an unseen predator. The mine's owner Hiram Gummer (Gross) hires gunfighter Black Hand Kelly (Billy Drago) to destroy the Graboids but with the entire town at risk, will Hiram flee or stand and fight? In 'Tremors 5: Bloodlines' (2015) survivalist star Burt and his cameraman Travis Welker (Jamie Kennedy) are called upon to help the South African Wildlife Ministry deal with a new species of Graboid. However, when they discover what they're really up against, the hunters become the hunted. In 'Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell' (2017) Burt and Travis travel to Canada to investigate reports of Graboid attacks. They fear that Graboids are being used by the American military to develop bio-weapons but face a race against time to save Burt when they learn that he has been infected by Graboid venom. Finally, in 'Tremors: Shrieker Island' (2020), big game hunter Bill (Richard Brake) has been genetically engineering Graboids, making them more powerful and intelligent and thus more challenging to hunt. Archaeologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) are invited to view the park along with chaos theory expert Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), only to find themselves being hunted when the dinosaurs break free. The sequel 'The Lost World: Jurassic Park' (1997) is set four years later on the neighbouring Isla Sorna where the dinosaurs for the park were bred. John Hammond contacts Ian Malcolm and asks him to visit the island to document the dinosaur activity. When he learns that his girlfriend, paleontologist Dr. Sarah Harding (Julianne Moore) is already on the island, he agrees to go, not realising that a rival expedition is on its way with plans to capture the dinosaurs and transport them to the mainland. 'Jurassic Park III' (2001) sees Alan Grant approached by Paul and Amanda Kirby (William H. Macy and Téa Leoni), a wealthy couple who want a guide to escort them on a flight over Isla Sorna. Grant agrees to take the flight but as soon as they are over the island, the couple attempt a landing. Grant discovers that their son is lost on the island and they are desperate to find him but when a dinosaur attack disables the plane, the rescue party finds itself stranded and at the mercy of the island's prehistoric inhabitants. 'Jurassic World' (2015) is set 22 years after 'Jurassic Park' (1993) when Isla Nublar is reopened as a theme park. In order to boost attendance, operations manager Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) asks the park's geneticists to create genetically modified hybrid dinosaurs, the latest product of their experimentation being the Indominus rex. But when the Indominus rex escapes and begins killing other dinosaurs for sport, it's left to park staff member and behavioural researcher Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) to save the park's inhabitants. In 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' (2018), the Jurassic World theme park now lies in ruins and the dinosaurs of Isla Nublar have been left to roam freely on the island. However, with a massive volcanic eruption threatening their existence, Claire Dearing recruits Owen Grady and the two return to the island in a bid to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from the impending disaster. With time running out, the pair soon find their plans complicated further when they uncover a conspiracy which could put the future of the world at risk. In 'Jurassic World: Dominion' (2022), dinosaurs now live alongside humans all over the world. Owen Grady and Claire Dearing are joined by Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm to try to determine whether the two species can live together in peace. Finally, 'Jurassic World: Rebirth' (2025) is set five years later when most of the world's surviving dinosaurs have settled in remote tropical regions. Mercenary Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) is recruited by a pharmaceutical company to obtain DNA from three different species of hybrid dinosaurs to further life-saving and lucrative medical research.
