In 'Tremors' (1990), handymen Val McKee (Kevin Bacon) and Earl Basset (Fred Ward) are preparing to leave the small desert town of Perfection, Nevada when their departure is halted by strange rumblings beneath the earth. Seismology student Rhonda LeBeck (Finn Carter) reveals that the tremors have been caused by giant underground monsters, which the unlikely trio are soon battling for their lives. In 'Tremors 2: Aftershocks' (1996), when workers at a Mexican oil refinery find an infestation of Graboids, they turn to Earl for help. He recruits old friend Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) and they begin to hunt the creatures together, aided by Grady Hoover (Christopher Gartin) and scientist Kate Reilly (Helen Shaver). Unfortunately for them however, the creatures have evolved and are now able to replicate exceptionally quickly, making stopping them an almost impossible task. In 'Tremors 3: Back to Perfection' (2001), Perfection, having survived the acts of the giant 'Graboid' and 'Shrieker' worms, is now once again facing a terrifying external threat - this time from dodgy property developers. Grizzled survivalist Burt returns to his hometown to face down the situation but things go from bad to worse when a third, mutated strain makes its presence felt and he must once again do battle with the Graboids. In the prequel 'Tremors 4: The Legend Begins' (2004), the workers of the remote mining town of Rejection, Nevada, fall victim to an unseen predator. The mine's owner, Hiram Gummer (Gross), hires a mercenary to destroy the carnivorous creatures before they swallow his profits. This results in the battleground moving from deep in the earth to the streets of Rejection. 'Tremors 5: Bloodlines' (2015) follows hardened survivalist and Perfection resident Burt as he hunts down a supposedly isolated subterranean monster in the South African wilderness. However, the hunters soon become the hunted when Burt and the rest of his crew, including wildlife reserve worker Travis Welker (Jamie Kennedy), discover what they're really up against. In 'Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell' (2018), accompanied by Travis, Burt heads to Canada to investigate reports of giant worm attacks. Suspecting that the evil Graboids are being turned into weapons, Burt faces a race against time to prove his theory after he is infected by a new strain of Graboid venom. In 'Tremors: Shrieker Island' (2020), when a rich trophy hunter illegally releases some Graboids to an island resort, Burt is called upon to save the residents and stop the dangerous Graboids from taking over. Finally, the television series 'Tremors' (2003) follows on from the events of 'Tremors 3: Back to Perfection' (2001) where the residents of Perfection Valley must learn to live alongside an albino Graboid called El Blanco. In 'Jurassic Park' (1993) eccentric scientist John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) plans to open a theme park on Isla Nublar populated by live dinosaurs which have been genetically engineered from DNA found in a preserved prehistoric mosquito. Archaeologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) are invited to view the park along with chaos theory expert Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), only to find themselves being hunted when the dinosaurs break free. The sequel 'The Lost World: Jurassic Park' (1997) is set four years later on the neighbouring Isla Sorna where the dinosaurs for the park were bred. John Hammond contacts Ian Malcolm and asks him to visit the island to document the dinosaur activity. When he learns that his girlfriend, paleontologist Dr. Sarah Harding (Julianne Moore) is already on the island, he agrees to go, not realising that a rival expedition is on its way with plans to capture the dinosaurs and transport them to the mainland. 'Jurassic Park III' (2001) sees Alan Grant approached by Paul and Amanda Kirby (William H. Macy and Téa Leoni), a wealthy couple who want a guide to escort them on a flight over Isla Sorna. Grant agrees to take the flight but as soon as they are over the island, the couple attempt a landing. Grant discovers that their son is lost on the island and they are desperate to find him but when a dinosaur attack disables the plane, the rescue party finds itself stranded and at the mercy of the island's prehistoric inhabitants. 'Jurassic World' (2015) is set 22 years after 'Jurassic Park' (1993) when Isla Nublar is reopened as a theme park. In order to boost attendance, operations manager Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) asks the park's geneticists to create genetically modified hybrid dinosaurs, the latest product of their experimentation being the Indominus rex. But when the Indominus rex escapes and begins killing other dinosaurs for sport, it's left to park staff member and behavioural researcher Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) to save the park's inhabitants. In 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' (2018), the Jurassic World theme park now lies in ruins and the dinosaurs of Isla Nublar have been left to roam freely on the island. However, with a massive volcanic eruption threatening their existence, Claire Dearing recruits Owen Grady and the two return to the island in a bid to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from the impending disaster. With time running out, the pair soon find their plans complicated further when they uncover a conspiracy which could put the future of the world at risk. In 'Jurassic World: Dominion' (2022), dinosaurs now live alongside humans all over the world. Owen Grady and Claire Dearing are joined by Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm to try to determine whether the two species can live together in peace. Finally, 'Jurassic World: Rebirth' (2025) is set five years later when most of the world's surviving dinosaurs have settled in remote tropical regions. Mercenary Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) is recruited by a pharmaceutical company to obtain DNA from three different species of hybrid dinosaurs to further life-saving and lucrative medical research. In 'Dracula' (1931) Renfield (Dwight Frye) travels to Transylvania to facilitate Count Dracula (Bela Lugosi)'s forthcoming move to England. After ignoring warnings from the locals, he is attacked and enslaved by Dracula, who is in fact a centuries-old vampire. Upon arriving in England with Renfield, Dracula is drawn to Mina Seward (Helen Chandler) and seeks to claim her for his own but her fiancé John Harker (David Manners) and Professor Van Helsing (Edward Van Sloan) are determined to save her and put an end to Dracula's malevolent schemes. In 'Frankenstein' (1931) scientist Henry Frankenstein (Colin Clive) is consumed with the desire to create life. He assembles a monster (Boris Karloff) out of body parts acquired by his assistant Fritz (Frye) and succeeds in reanimating it during an electrical storm. However, the monster possesses the brain of a killer and proceeds to escape and terrorise the local community. 'The Mummy' (1932) follows the members of an archaeological expedition who discover a sarcophagus in an unmarked grave. It contains the mummy of Imhotep (Karloff), who was buried alive thousands of years ago as punishment for attempting to bring his deceased lover back to life. Now resurrected, Imhotep begins searching for his reincarnated beloved. In 'The Invisible Man' (1933) Dr. Jack Griffin (Claude Rains) discovers the secret of invisibility but in the process drives himself insane. Soon he is no longer satisfied with playing pranks on other people and his actions take a murderous turn. In 'The Bride of Frankenstein' (1935) Henry Frankenstein (Clive) believes his creation has been destroyed until his former mentor Dr. Septimus Pretorius (Ernest Thesiger) blackmails him into creating a mate (Elsa Lanchester) for the monster. 'The Wolf Man' (1941) sees Larry Talbot (Lon Chaney Jr.) return home to Wales where he falls in love with local girl Gwen Conliffe (Evelyn Ankers). When Gwen's friend Jenny (Fay Helm) is attacked by a wolf, Larry attempts to save her. He kills the wolf but is bitten in the process and transforms into a werewolf the following night. When he attempts to flee to protect those he loves, tragedy awaits. In 'The Phantom of the Opera' (1943) Paris Opera House violinist Erique Claudin (Rains) loves singer Christine DuBois (Susanna Foster) and pays for her lessons without her knowledge. After he is burned by acid, he steals a mask and hides in the sewers beneath the Opera House where he devotes himself to furthering Christine's career. Finally, in 'Creature from the Black Lagoon' (1954), members of an expedition in the Amazon discover a 'Gill-man' who is half man and half amphibian.
