With the help of fellow student Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), Doctor Strange must put his new-found powers to good use as the sudden arrival from an alternate dimension of corrupted sorcerer Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen) spreads terror throughout the city of New York. The stop-motion animated musical 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' (1993), produced and visualised by Tim Burton, is set in a parallel world where different lands represent different holiday periods. Skeleton Jack (voice of Chris Sarandon) from Halloween Town becomes converted to Christmas and sets out to spread joy in the world. However, when Jack's mission leads him to kidnap Santa (voice of Edward Ivory) it becomes clear that he is not really in tune with the Yuletide spirit. In 'Alice in Wonderland' (2010), based on the characters from the Lewis Carroll classics 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' and 'Through the Looking Glass', the 19-year-old Alice (Mia Wasikowska) returns to the magical world of her childhood adventure to reunite with her friends the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp), the White Rabbit (Michael Sheen), Tweedledum and Tweedledee (both played by Matt Lucas), the Dormouse (Barbara Windsor), the Caterpillar (Alan Rickman) and the Cheshire Cat (Stephen Fry). Alice discovers her true destiny as she joins forces with the colourful denizens of Wonderland to overthrow the wicked Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter). 'Frankenweenie' (2012), Burton's black and white stop-motion homage to Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein', is a remake of his 1984 short of the same name. The story follows a young boy called Victor (voice of Charlie Tahan), who harnesses the powers of science to bring his beloved pet dog Sparky back to life - with unexpected and alarming consequences. 'Ed Wood' (1994) is a biopic of one of Hollywood's worst film directors. Setting up shop in Tinseltown with plenty of enthusiasm but no discernible talent, Ed Wood (Depp) is undeterred when his debut feature, cross-dressing drama 'Glen Or Glenda' (in which he also stars) is a flop. He goes on to make 'Bride of the Monster', also a commercial and creative disaster, with ailing horror star Bela Lugosi (Martin Landau), before embarking on his most grandiose scheme yet: 'Plan 9 from Outer Space'...<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD / Box Set</i>

When an incident at her coronation ceremony exposes her magic ability to the citizens of Arendelle Elsa flees and cuts herself off from the rest of the world, but in her emotional state she sets off a spell that casts a perpetual winter over the kingdom. It falls to Anna, with the help of mountaineer Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), his reindeer Sven and a snowman called Olaf (Josh Gad), to journey through treacherous conditions in order to reunite with her sister and find a way to break the spell. In 'Frozen II' (2019), set three years later, Elsa, now Queen of Arendelle, and Anna are celebrating the arrival of autumn when Elsa hears a mysterious voice calling out to her from the north. With their kingdom under threat from reawakened elemental spirits, the sisters, joined by Kristoff and Olaf, embark on an adventure to the Enchanted Forest as Elsa searches for the source of the voice and seeks answers about the origin of her magical abilities.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

He even finds himself reluctantly getting into the spirit of things. In 'The Santa Clause 2' (2002) it is now 8 years later and Calvin (Allen) has got used to the job. But things have started to go wrong; he begins to lose his resemblance to Santa and his son Charlie (Eric Lloyd) has ended up on the 'naughty' list. It transpires that Calvin's contract stipulates he has to have a Mrs Santa and so he sets off to find one, leaving a duplicate Santa the Elves made to cover for him. However, things are not that easy as Calvin finds women are not flocking to date a large, white-bearded man from the North Pole, and the duplicate Santa has begun to play up and may not give up the role. In 'Santa Clause 3 - The Escape Clause' (2006) it's Santa vs. Jack Frost as the two go head to head over who runs Christmas. In this third instalment of the series, Scott Calvin (Allen) aka Santa Clause is up against it. With his wife Carol/Mrs Clause (Elizabeth Mitchell) pregnant, and her parents due for a visit, a lightning makeover of Santa's village is needed to protect his identity. With too much to do and time running out, Santa's happy to let Jack Frost (Martin Short) step up and save the day. Unfortunately for Santa, Frost has been waiting to seize his moment, and soon he's in control of Christmas. In 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' (2011) Jack is enticed aboard the Queen Anne's Revenge - the ship of fearsome pirate and Jack's arch-nemesis Blackbeard (Ian McShane) - by a past love, Angelica (Penélope Cruz). He soon finds himself on an unexpected journey to the fabled Fountain of Youth, but is the beautiful and seductive Angelica all she appears to be?
