These albums date from 1971 and 1973 and were originally released on Polydor Records. Wray came to fame with his 1958 hit 'Rumble' with its distinctive guitar sound. Wray recorded for a host of labels, searching for success, but really only finding critical acclaim and small sales. Wray's influence as a guitarist cannot be understated or undervalued as he progressed from rockabilly to surf, garage, swamp, country and then finally into hard rock. Amongst his many fellow musician admirers are Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton and Iggy Pop. Digitally remastered and slipcased, and with new notes.

Gladys Knight & The Pips: Everybody Needs... [2 CD]

QMS’s first two groundbreaking albums for Capitol Records, dating from 1968 and 1969. Hailing from San Francisco, they created a large following and were quickly signed by Capitol. The first album spent 26 weeks on the US Top 100 Albums chart and the follow up, Happy Trails, spent 30 weeks there and produced the US Top 50 hit ‘Who Do You Love’. The contrasting style of guitarists John Cipollina and Gary Duncan gave the band a niche sound. Over the years, Quicksilver endured many personnel changes and reunions, but it’s fair to say that these two albums were their finest hour. Digitally remastered, slipcased and with new notes.
