Big Pip Reco

Durry: Suburban Legend (Yellow) [Vinyl LP]

"If my life is a movie, this movie sucks." MN siblings, Durry, return with an aggressive follow up to their viral debut Suburban Legend. Like a kick in the teeth and a nice warm hug all rolled into one. This Movie Sucks is a tongue in cheek look at real life. Tackling everything from toxic internet culture, and US economics, to heavy topics like grief and loss, all with a wink and a smile. The sound is wildly diverse, taking Durry's established sound and stretching it further than ever before. With strong punk rock sensibilities in songs like 'Bully' and 'Start a Band' alongside the folksy sounds of 'The Long Goodbye' and 'Slug Bug'. This Movie Sucks is a wild ride from start to finish. Tailor made for anybody longing for the energetic angst of the 2000's rock scene, but with more mature themes and lyrics.
