'Life of Brian' (1979), set during Biblical times, tells the story of Brian (Graham Chapman), an accidental messiah whose life runs in eerie parallel to that of Jesus Christ. This spiteful decision soon leads to the destruction of his relationship with his brother, who in a drunken frenzy runs off to enlist in an army unit being shipped overseas to the battlefields of France. Unable to bear the loss of his favourite son, Cal's pacifist father breaks down completely. The film was nominated for four Oscars with Van Fleet winning for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Meanwhile, April O'Neil (Megan Fox), a journalist covering the rise in criminal activity with the help of cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett), is shocked to find that the city's only hope is four mutated sewer-dwelling turtles and their ninja master Splinter (Danny Woodburn/voice of Tony Shalhoub). In 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows' (2016), the turtles are forced back into action when Shredder (Brian Tee) returns and employs Techno Cosmic Research Institute scientist Dr. Stockman (Tyler Perry) to create some mutants of his own.
