Ingo Metzmacher conducts the Wiener Philharmoniker in a production of Bernd Alois Zimmerman's 'Die Soldaten', staged in Salzburg's Felsenreitschule in 2012. The production features an ensemble comprising 170 musicians and a cast of 50 soloists including Laura Aikin, Alfred Muff, Tanja Ariane Baumgartner and Tomasz Konieczny. Also included is Nikolaus Lehnhoff's production of Franz Schreker's three-act opera 'Die Gezeichneten', which opened the festival in 2005. Kent Nagano leads the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, with soloists including Anne Schwanewilms, Robert Brubaker, Robert Hale and Michael Volle. The last performance is Alban Berg's 'Lulu', recorded at the festival in 2011.
