In 'A Grand Day Out' (1989) Wallace runs out of his favourite Wensleydale cheese on Boxing Day and cannot find a shop open to replenish his stock. The only solution he can think of is to fly his homemade rocket to the biggest block of cheese in the universe: the moon. In 'The Wrong Trousers' (1993) Wallace and Gromit cross paths with ruthless criminal Feathers McGraw, a penguin who disguises himself as a chicken and has a plan to use Wallace's Techno Trousers to commit robbery. In 'A Close Shave' (1995) Wallace becomes infatuated with Wendolene (Anne Reid) who owns a wool shop. Meanwhile, Gromit becomes interested in the case of some disappearing sheep and identifies Wendolene's dog Preston as the culprit. However, when the devious dog frames Gromit for the crime and he is imprisoned, he needs Wallace and the sheep, led by Shaun, to break him out. Finally, in 'A Matter of Loaf and Death' (2008), the pair have converted their home into the 'Top Bun' bakery - complete with a rooftop windmill - but with 12 local bakers having gone mysteriously missing, Gromit worries that they will soon complete the baker's dozen. When an earthquake leaves his home destroyed, his aunt smuggles him onto a ship headed for the English capital. He winds up in London's Paddington Station, lost and alone, until he meets Mr Brown (Hugh Bonneville) and his family, who decide to look after him while he searches for his aunt's old acquaintance. However, the bear finds himself in danger when taxidermist Millicent (Nicole Kidman) attempts to get her hands on him for her museum collection. In 'Paddington 2' (2017), now settled in London and living with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens, Peruvian bear Paddington has begun building a reputation as an upstanding member of his new community. After spotting a unique pop-up book which he thinks will be a perfect present for his Aunt Lucy (voice of Imelda Staunton)'s 100th birthday, Paddington sets out to complete a number of odd jobs in an attempt to raise enough money to buy it. However, when the book is suddenly stolen, Paddington and the rest of the Brown family must work together in order to catch the thief and recover the book before Aunt Lucy's big day comes around. In 'Paddington in Peru' (2024), when Paddington receives a letter from the Home for Retired Bears in Peru, they inform him that his beloved aunt has been acting strangely. Worried, Paddington plans an expedition to his homeland. Accompanied by the Browns, Paddington meets the Reverend Mother (Olivia Colman) who heads up the retirement home and provides the family with a map of the jungle where they believe Aunt Lucy may have gone.
