In 'The Fifth Cord' (1971) alcoholic journalist Andrea Bild (Franco Nero) attempts to overcome his own personal demons when he is assigned to investigate a series of savage murders, each following the same sinister theme. Can he solve his own problems and piece together the clues before the killer strikes again? Finally, in 'The Pyjama Girl Case' (1977) retired policeman Inspector Thompson (Ray Milland) returns to active service when the corpse of a young woman with a horribly mutilated face is discovered on the local beach.
