Set during medieval times, reclusive potter Martin Lepis (Radovan Lukavsky), who the villagers refer to as Dragon, returns to the mountain community that ousted him years before for a crime he maintains he did not commit. But his former fiancée Eva (Emília Vásáryová), her new husband Simon (Gustáv Valach) and the rest of the villagers are suspicious of Dragon's return despite his innocent wish to live his life in peace.
