Serge Ioan Celebidachi directs this biopic starring Ben Schnetzer and John Malkovich as his father, conductor and composer Sergiu Celibidache. Growing up in Romania with a strict father (Sean Bean), Sergiu was expected to follow in the family's political footsteps. However, when he revealed his wish to study music and become a conductor, he found himself shunned and out in the world on his own. As he travels to Germany to perfect his craft, he must battle poverty and political conflict if he is to make it in his chosen career. The cast also includes Miranda Richardson, Kate Phillips and Charlie Rowe.
