William Richert writes and directs this satirical thriller based on the novel by Richard Condon. 19 years after the assassination of the President of the United States, the President's half-brother Nick Kegan (Jeff Bridges) is working in the China Seas as part of his father's oil drilling operation. When Nick receives a clue about the identity of the real assassin from a dying man, he sets out to investigate and discovers a vast conspiracy which leads back to his own father. The cast also includes John Huston, Anthony Perkins, Belinda Bauer and Tomas Milian.
