But events take a strange turn when Gitty discovers an old man living in the locked and unused silo her dad warned her not to go near. While bringing him food to eat and books to read, Gitty strikes up a friendship with the man called Jonathan (Richard Schiff) and learns he's a wealthy real estate developer buying up farms in the area.
