Richard Brooks

Both of Big Daddy's sons are there for the party but only one of them - lawyer Gooper (Jack Carson) - is keen to inherit the family fortune; the other, Brick (Newman), a former high school athlete-turned-alcoholic, wants nothing to do with the family. Nevertheless, Brick's wife Maggie (Taylor) would like to see some of the money, believing that it might offer some recompense for the coldness of her marriage. In Kansas, a prosperous and respected farmer is brutally slaughtered along with his wife and two teenage children by the mindless ex-con drifters Perry Smith (Robert Blake) and Dick Hickock (Scott Wilson). The story penetrates the inner workings of the criminals' minds as it follows their purposeless meandering through Mexico and the United States in evasion of the law and finally to the dramatic end of their journey.

Typ: Blu-ray
